‘The Tribe’ is a place where anyone can submit any idea, project, product or artistic creation to be developed and produced. It follows very simple rules and is fully democratic: ‘The Tribe’ can secure your success and make sure you don’t lost time and money. We only launch new projects and invest in them once the community helps you reach your ‘break-even’ point.
The Competition
‘The Tribe’ will be holding regular competitions to encourage ‘Tribers’ to generate new ideas, concepts and artistic projects. The first competition is a worldwide design competition that will be launched on the 22nd August. The competition will involve creating exciting designs for T-shirts, Bags and any other merchandise.

Hello All,
you can pick up your work from Room 215 on Thursday the 24th of June between 10.00am-1.00pm and on Friday the 25th of June between 10.00am and 4.00pm. Please pass this message on to anyone who might not check the gdnm blog regularly.
Any work that ha not been picked up by the end of Friday is likely to get chucked away.

Student Registrations (so far):
Right kids, we need these images up on the site ASAP…
You need to register and activate your profile by visiting:
http://show.gdnm.org/dashboard
Once your registered you need to login and then start uploading your images, adding captions and tags to your work and then you need to plug in your Bio details.
Images should be:
- 72 DPIs
- RGB
- JPEG
- 1000px wide
Videos need to be uploaded to:
http://public.me.com/unknowndomain
Videos should be:
- Clearly labeled
- Put inside a folder with your name Lastname, Firstname (aka Lynch, Tom)
Get going, the front end will be going live soon and we need work there before we can make it live, and the invites are landing so people will want to see them.

Hello All,
On Monday, 7th of June, you all need to help with loading the lorry from 10.00am.
Please meet us in Studio 201 just before 10.00am and we will direct you.
You MUST wear sensible clothing (no open-toed sandals, high heels, micro-hotpants. Think WORK CLOTHES.
On Tuesday, 8th of June, you all need to be at the Bargehouse venue at 11.00am to help with setting up the show. You are expected to be helping with the setup on Wednesday 9th of June and Thursday 10th of June also.
We have a limited amount of time, it is your show and we need everyone’s help. ANY STUDENTS NOT SEEN TO BE HELPING WITH THE SHOW SET-UP WILL HAVE THEIR WORK PULLED FROM THE SHOW.
We need students to help invigilate the show on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There is a sign up sheet on the GDNM office door. Make sure you sign up. If we don’t have enough students the Show will not be able to open that day for Health and Safety reasons, it’s as simple as that.

Personal Invites Posted by: Tom
Students who wish to give an invite to friends and family will be allowed 1 invite. The invites allow 2 people to enter the show for the private view.
However we recommend that your family and friends only come during the public view which runs from 11 am to 6 pm on Friday 11th to Sunday 13th June.
No invite is required for the public view and there should be no issue getting in unless we reach capacity.
If you still wish to collect an invite please come to Ben & Luke’s Office between 14:30 and 15:00 tomorrow (Thursday), outside of these hours we cannot give you an invite.
All industry invites have now been sent thanks to the team who worked tirelessly sticking the addresses on.

The degree show website is still in the works, we’ve been so busy putting the rest of the show together this has had to sit on the back burner, however we are building the site right now so we need you guys to have your work ready to upload.
You will also need to upload a bio about your self, nothing fancy just describing what work you do and what interests you.
